Message from Assistant Legion Secretary

Chris Pena

Our mission is "To have fun while providing greater service to the Moose fraternity".   Our motto is "To do some good thing for someone each day".

I would like to start off by thanking Tracey Harris for his many years as being Legion Chairman and Lodge Assistant Secretary for Rancho Cordova, I can only hope that I can fill his shoes with honor.  This is a new challenge and honor for me and I am looking forward to it.

We have not had much happen the last couple of months, but are working on some fun events soon to come. We do have the Moose Legion Picnic coming up at Folsom City Park on September 17, 2017.

Also Tracey Harris is trying to get a Mighty 190 gold tournament set up and invite all Mighty 190 Legionnaires from all the lodges.  Please contact him if you are interested, we will share more information as it comes  available.

I am also hosting an appreciation dinner July 15, 2017 for our local first responders, to show our appreciation for all of the hard work and dedication they provide to the community.

Make sure you congratulate two of our own from Rancho Cordova that have become part of the Executive Board of Directors for the Mighty 190;

Tracey Harris - Fraternal Director

John Ingrim  -   Chaplain

I would like to thank Ted Thames for being our Legion Chairman again this year.
The next Legion Celebration/Conferral will be July 16th, 1:00 p.m., Yuba City Lodge #1204.

The Mighty 190 is hosting a bus trip to Reno for Hot August Nights on August 12th - see some old cars and doing a little gambling. Cost is $40 with $15 kickback and all lodge members are welcome.

The Legion Breakfast is the 2nd Sunday of each month. Come on down for some good vittles.

Next time you come to Friday night Bingo, give a big thanks to Ted and Herb and all the other volunteers who make this a great time for all.

The Moose Legion is a higher degree of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Male members of the Order who have held membership for at least six months or who have sponsored at least one member into the Order qualify to advance to the Moose Legion.
