Weekly Update 2/2/2021

Hello All,

There are some updates from our Senior regent and also our Maintenance Committee so I will keep my notes brief. As a reminder the crab feed tickets go on sale this weekend.

Tickets FOR RANCHO CORDOVA LODGE MEMBERS will go . You will need to show a Rancho membership card for each ticket purchased on Saturday, meaning that 1 person can come and buy tickets for their friends and family as long as each person is a RANCHO lodge member. Pictures of membership cards on a phone are ok as long as membership is current.

On Sunday February 7th tickets will be sold from 10am-1pm for any Moose members from other lodges and for guest tickets being purchased by a moose member. Guest tickets are limited to 4 per person.

As for this weekends activities, here is a rundown:

A message from our Maintenance Committee

An Update From the Lodge Maintenance and Beautification Committee

Since the middle of 2020, the Officers of the LOOM and WOTM have been working together, “behind the scene”, to secure funding and plan the replacement of the floor in the Meeting Hall.

As you may know, the floor has become a hazard to our members and guests due to its age and deteriorating. The floor is uneven, tiles are cracked with missing pieces and holes are appearing in the subfloor. And let’s not mention the outdated look.

Today we received the good news we’ve been waiting for. Funding has been secured! Your officers will be moving ahead now with this major improvement project.

Starting in the next few weeks, our volunteers will begin removing the existing floor covering, repairing the subfloor and preparing it. Once the floor is prepped, we will install an attractive slip resistant floor covering. A sample of the new look will be displayed outside for a few weekends. We anticipate it will take about 4 - 6 weeks to do the work.

Due to COVID restrictions in place as of now, we cannot allow members to enter the Lodge to “see how it’s going.”  But keep an eye on the bulletin board outside as we will be posting pictures as progress is made.

Your officers are anxious to make our Hall a safer and more inviting showplace for you, our members, and our guests.

Hope to see you at the lodge.

Fraternally,

John Lane

Governor

Inspired by the success of the WOTM, the LOOM will now be offering Lifetime memberships at 1/2 price between now and April 30,2021. The maximum price would be $600 but members can get a reduced rate based on their years of membership. Come by this week and talk to a board member about it.
